Well, we took a big leap of faith today! We mailed in our dossier to Jonathan's country. It should be there by the end of the week. I say it's a big leap of faith because we don't have all the money to go to Eastern Europe. We are blessed with the money that has come through Adeye's blog! But we still need another $13,000 and plane tickets. There is no plan B. It's just God's plan on this one. We do NOT have any back up money.
We have seen God's hand in all of this, but now when it is to the end, I get weary. I did not want to worry about the money, but it is weighing on me. I have some great friends who encourage me and pray for me and I am so thankful for them.
If we could have your prayers, we would be so grateful. Adoption is a battle and we still have aways to go. My heart aches for Jonathan and for him to be home as soon as possible. That's why we took a step of faith. We only have a limited amount of time to get him. He's been in the orphanage 16 years. It's time for him to come home.
Please help share his story. Not too many people are interested in the older children. Please share Adeye's post so people will have a heart, not just for Jonathan, but for all older orphans who want to come home.
Praying!!!!! We love you guys!!
ReplyDeleteSomeone shared your blog on facebook and HAD to jump over here because I recognized Jonathan's picture!! Several months ago his picture was being sent around with the plea for someone to adopt him. I inquired about him but found out pretty quickly we would not qualify to adopt him. I am SOOOO excited to know that he has a home!!! And most importantly that he has a God fearing family!! Praise the Lord! I will pray for your family tonight that God would show Himself faithful as Jehovah-Jireh and provide for this precious young man. All the Lord's blessings to you and your family!

Praying for you. Reading your blog, I am reminded of the story of Peter asking Lord if that is you, then let me come to you and Peter did just that, he walked to Jesus. But then after he saw the winds, he became afraid and began to sink saying Lord please save me and immediately Jesus stretched forth His hand and caught him. We often have times of being scared in our life but we know that our God will bless us as long as we are doing His will. I know that many times I have been faced with these situations and I get scared and afraid but I every single time God has been there and showed me that He will supply my needs as long as I am in His will. So glad you are following God's plan and jumping out on a leap of Faith. You and your family are amazing people and I am so glad that you are bringing Jonathan home to be a part of your family :) As I said before I am lifting you up in prayer!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Crystal for your prayers! That's what keeps us going! Blessings to you!
