A little update

Thank you for your prayers! Andrew has had a few good days. There is deep hurt buried down inside. Mark and I have been talking to him to let him know when he's ready to talk, we are here. He gets very upset with himself when he says hurtful things. He came to Mark and I crying asking for us to help him. We can only do so much, but I know the Savior can do so much more!

We are beyond blessed to know how many of you are praying! Thank you my precious friends! Andrew has a great future ahead of him with you mighty warriors going to our Father on his behalf!

Blessings,
Hansina

  1. It must be very hard to remember that he is not in fact talking to you both, but talking through his anger and rage...talking to the others who have abandoned him and hurt him...not easy as a parent to be sure. May God continue to bless and keep you all...

  3. Poor kiddo. Your family is wonderful and I am so glad he is with a family who will never quit on him. Being only a few years out of the teen years myself I know how difficult they are for the average child in a happy family. I can't imagine what Andrew is struggling with. I know in my heart eventually he will heal.

  4. During those challenging times, Andrew is also learning even deeper what unconditional love truly means... He is building his inner trust in living the reality that you keep loving him no matter what, even when his deep wounds explode into hurtful words... The process, however difficult, is a true part of his healing. And as Andrew's parents, you are wise enough to not take anything personally, aren't you... We are with you all the way, Eva

  5. What a sweet guy. I just love him and I don't even know him. We have prayed for him ever since Adeye posted about him way back when. God has a very special plan for Andrew's life. Hang in there! We are praying and our God is mighty to save.

  6. All hurt aside he is also still in that adoption adjustment period. My first adopted daughter was 5, highly intelligent but unable to communicate because of the language barrier. Our first 6 months were rough but she adjusted and accepted Christ a year later and grew into a healthy happy young adult. Hang in there, keep planting seeds of salvation and keep praying. Will join you in prayer.
