Welcome to our new blog! I didn't think I'd be blogging again, but here we are! Back in December Mark and I saw a 15 year old boy who was about to age out of the orphanage. When that happens, the Eastern European country gives him around $30 and a bag of belongings and out he/she goes. They normally have no family and no where to go. We know who and what waits for them. It's not a good life.
Mark and I both looked at each other and knew, without words, what the other was thinking....go get him! He's your son! So we've started the process of adopting Jonathan. He just turned 16 the end of December.
So please join us on another adventure!
looking forward to following along again. praying and hoping only good things for you on your journey!
ReplyDeleteSooooo happy for you!! Does he know?
ReplyDeleteYes, he does! I'm going to write a post on how that all happened!
DeleteI seen his picture and hoped and prayed someone could/would do something. The man upstairs is amazing.
ReplyDeleteWow! That's sooo awesome! Will keep u on my prayer list...how r the other two doing? Pictures look like they're doing good! :-)
ReplyDeleteWe love you, support you, and will pray you through this journey. I am so excited to meet my new nephew!
ReplyDeleteSo excited to follow your journey yet again!
ReplyDeleteThat's amazing! I know his sweet face has haunted a couple of my friends. When do you go get him? Is it a full dossier process or is it quicker due to his age?
ReplyDeleteWe have to have court by June and yes, we do have to do the dossier all over again! ;)
DeleteYou will not get him till June at the earliest? Or latest?
DeleteYes. I wish is would move faster, but USCIS takes so much time. We are hoping to travel in May!
DeleteThis brought tears of joy to my eyes!
ReplyDeleteAmazing! We will be praying for you!
ReplyDeleteMay the Lord direct and bless you all. Don't you wish you could just buy him a plane ticket?----Sigh---(Yes, I know ALL the reasons for the safety of the kids to have to go through the whole process)----but, I sure wish they could/would streamline things in some cases.....WE will be praying for you!!
ReplyDeleteNo way!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I've been praying for him and his forever family and now I know you! I'm looking forward to following your journey.
ReplyDeleteIn Him,
Susie
