New Chip In!

We got a new chip in that is tax deductible! It is through Project Hopeful.
We are so thankful for them!

We also have a new group on Facebook if anyone would like to join. It's all for Jonathan! To pray for him and advocate for him. We still have another $13,000 to raise, but God can do it!

Please help us continue to spread the word!

Spending time with God

"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name. Great is our Lord and mighty in power; His understanding has no limit. The Lord sustains the humble...." Psalm 147:3-6

Love this scripture! He heals the brokenhearted. He knows the number of the stars and knows them by name! Do you know how many stars there are? He knows them all and He knows me. He knows me. He knows my hurts, frustrations and disappointments, and He understands. WOW!

Having a moment with the Lord. Praying, crying and giving up. Isn't that the best place to be?! Having Him wash away the cares the world and making me new again.

Listening to Keith Green. Oh, Lord, you're beautiful. Your face is all I see for when your eyes are on this child, your grace abounds to me.

God, yours is the only way I want to go. Not the world's way, but Your way!

Thank you, Jesus, for your unfailing love and for the blessing of being Jonathan's mom. I am truly humbled. You picked me. Thank you, Lord!

No go

Our dossier did not get submitted. It's a long story. Thank you for your prayers! Believing God still has a plan. We knew this was not going to be easy and it seems we hit every bump in the road possible. But we will continue on!

Document

The document is there, but they did not get it delivered Monday. This is the deal: the dossier has to be submitted by noon Tuesday. We have heard this is not possible. By the time DHL delivers, it gets notarized, all the traffic, not going to happen. Not possible, impossible....I don't like those words. Our God is bigger. He doesn't roll in the impossible.

So our prayer is to have the document delivered first thing in the morning, no traffic to notary or to turn in the dossier. That it will get there before noon. Possible? Absolutely! With my God all things are possible! (thanks for asking Ladonna!)

Prayers, Please

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated to help bring Jonathan home! What a blessing you all are to him and us!

Please be praying with us.....we had an incorrect document. It was a small thing, but it would not be accepted in Jonathan's country, so we had to redo it. We sent it DHL today, but it really needs to be there by Monday so it can be submitted Tuesday. If this doesn't happen, it cannot be submitted till April 10th. That would put us traveling middle of May or later.

There a couple reasons why we want to get there sooner. You all know we can't wait to get to our son. He has waited long enough for a family. Also, traveling back home in June would cost a lot more money. The World Cup is there in June and July. That makes all the prices go up! Praying, praying the document gets there Monday!

And please help us continue to spread the word about Jonathan. We are half way there with the monies! If anybody knows someone that would like to donate air miles, that would be wonderful!

Thank you my friends! Go God!

Leap of Faith!

Well, we took a big leap of faith today! We mailed in our dossier to Jonathan's country. It should be there by the end of the week. I say it's a big leap of faith because we don't have all the money to go to Eastern Europe. We are blessed with the money that has come through Adeye's blog! But we still need another $13,000 and plane tickets. There is no plan B. It's just God's plan on this one. We do NOT have any back up money.

We have seen God's hand in all of this, but now when it is to the end, I get weary. I did not want to worry about the money, but it is weighing on me. I have some great friends who encourage me and pray for me and I am so thankful for them.

If we could have your prayers, we would be so grateful. Adoption is a battle and we still have aways to go. My heart aches for Jonathan and for him to be home as soon as possible. That's why we took a step of faith. We only have a limited amount of time to get him. He's been in the orphanage 16 years. It's time for him to come home.

Please help share his story. Not too many people are interested in the older children. Please share Adeye's post so people will have a heart, not just for Jonathan, but for all older orphans who want to come home.

God You Are So Good

Mark and I are praising the Lord this morning. Tears of gratefulness. The words "thank you" just don't seem to be enough. How blessed we are to be Jonathan's parents, and he is blessed to have all of you! Thank you for your support through donations and prayers! The Lord is so good! Jonathan, you will be home soon!

Fundraising!

If you haven't seen or read, the No Greater Joy Mom Adeye did a beautiful post about Jonathan and older children. She has a chipin button on her blog if you would like to donate to help bring him home and it is tax deductible. The chipin on our blog is not tax deductible. Thank you so much to everyone who is helping Jonathan come home!

Dossier Almost Done!

A couple more documents to complete and we are done with the dossier! We have an officer assigned to us from USCIS, so we are hoping to get our approval letter this next week. Next, we will do some fundraising. We are hoping to be traveling in April. So excited to get to Jonathan! Praying the Lord guards his heart and puts a hedge of protection around him. He has a family waiting for him with hearts full of love.
